This recipe is a match made in heaven, the perfect combination of chocolate-y goodness with the added crunchiness of the kataifi that melts in your mouth with the pistachio cream!
To make this popular Dubai Chocolate recipe you will need:
- 2 cups of Kataifi pastry dough shredded in pieces
- 1 cup of melted butter
- 1 ½ cup of pistachio pasteÂ
- 2 cups of milk chocolate
Optional ingredients:
- â…“ cup white couvertureÂ
- 3 drops of green food colour
Equipment:
- Silicone Chocolate Mold
PreparationÂ
Separate and cut the kataifi dough in small pieces. Melt the butter in an anti-stick pan and mix in with the kataifi, until golden brown. Melt the pistachio in a food processor until it becomes a rich cream and add the pistachio cream to the kataifi and mix until fully blended. Alternatively, you can use a ready-made pistachio cream!
Optional:
Melt the white couverture in a bain-marie or in the microwave. Add the food colouring and mix everything together until the green colour is fully incorporated to the white couverture.Â
Drizzle the white couverture in the silicone chocolate mold in a zigg-zagg formation.Â
Melt the milk chocolate and pour a layer of it in the silicone chocolate mold. Place the silicone mold in the fridge until solid and add the kataifi filling. Pour another layer until the kataifi filling is fully coated. Refrigerate the silicone chocolate mold until the chocolate is firm.
