This unique Chocolate Trunk Cake recipe made with our beloved Caprice wafers and pistachios is not one to miss! This chocolate-y dessert adds an interesting twist to the traditional chocolate trunk dessert. It is easy to make and ideal to share, hitting the perfect balance of sweet and crunchy notes of the Caprice and the pistachios.
Serves 10 people.
For the Chocolate Trunk Cake with Caprice and Pistachios you will need:
- 200g chocolate couverture
- 400ml sweetened milk
- 100g butter
- 4 Tsp cocoa
- 200g pistachios
- 200g Caprice Papadopoulou broken in pieces
Preparation:
Melt the chocolate couverture, butter and sweetened milk in a pot over medium heat. Add the cocoa and after everything is melted and blended together, add the pistachios. Add the Caprice Papadopoulou pieces and mix well. Prepare a cake mold with a layer of Caprice Papadopoulou. Pour the mix in the cake mold. Refrigerate for 2 hours until solid and enjoy!
