A white wine made with the Greek local varieties Vidiano 85%, Aidani 15% produced by Mega Spileo Winery. The grapes grow in an organic mountainous vineyard at 820-880m altitude in Kalavryta overlooking the Vouraikos Gorge, marking the wine as PGI Achaia.
The grapes are harvested in the last 10 days of September and the fermentation is done with selected yeasts at low temperatures, with the blend ageing in stainless steel tanks and in oak barrels with its fine lees for 2 months.
Vidiano & Aidani is a dry wine with straw yellow colour. On the nose it has notes of stone fruits and tropical fruits with hints of minerals. On the palate, a refined, pronounced acidity with a fruity after-taste.
Ideally served with fish, seafood, white meats with white sauces.

Mega Spileo means Large Cave, and it took its name from its location near Kalavryta in Peloponnese, where there is a large cave and a Monastery, the second oldest continuously occupied religious place in the world. The vineyard belonged to the Monastery, where the monks making wine since the 15th century until it was completely abandoned in the beginning of the 20th century when the current owners took over and revitalised this historic vineyard.
