Buy online the award-winning and one of a kind Vinsanto, a naturally sweet orange-red wine produced by SantoWines Cooperative Winery in the vineyards of Santorine Island, marking the wine as P.D.O. This exceptional dessert wine is a blend of local varieties of 85% Assyrtiko and 15% Aidani and has been produced in vineyards 400 metres above the sea levels in the volcano soils of the island, from vines aged 20-60 years and handpicked specifically between 20-30th August. The naturally sweet vine leaves are sun-dried for 6-8 days after their harvest and it’s maturation process in French oak barrels lasts for 3 years! Vinsanto is one of the highest quality dessert wines internationally and it’s production is limited. Vinsanto has a distinctive taste of sweet spices such as cinnamon and cloves mixes with dried fruits like apricots and raisins. It’s prolonged maturation gives an elegant oak taste along with a velvet texture on the palate and a balanced aftertaste with hints of honey and lemon.
